Escravos–Lagos Pipeline

Continental Energy was contracted to carry out a full integrity assessment of the Escravos–Lagos high-pressure gas transmission pipeline. Spanning over 600km, the pipeline is a critical artery in Nigeria’s gas distribution network, and ensuring its safe operation was the primary objective of this engagement.

Our team deployed inline inspection tools, conducted corrosion mapping, and performed fitness-for-service evaluations across the entire corridor. Data collected was analysed against international pipeline integrity standards including ASME B31.8 and DNV-ST-F101. A prioritised repair and maintenance plan was developed and submitted to the client with full engineering justification.

The assessment identified and addressed key risk areas along the pipeline, significantly reducing the likelihood of unplanned shutdowns and extending the operational lifespan of the asset.
