Bayelsa Wellhead Workover

Continental Energy was awarded a wellhead maintenance and workover contract covering six onshore producing wells in Bayelsa State. The wells had experienced significant production decline due to mechanical failures and deferred maintenance, and the objective was to restore them to full production capacity.

A fully equipped workover crew was mobilised to site within 72 hours of contract award. Operations included tubing replacement, packer retrieval and re-setting, production logging, and wellhead equipment overhaul. Each well was worked over in sequence to minimise disruption to field production, with daily progress reporting to the client’s operations team.

The workover campaign was completed ahead of schedule, restoring an estimated 3,500 barrels of oil per day of deferred production and significantly improving the overall performance of the field.
